Yalaza dizisinde mahallelinin dert babası olacak olan Hasan Kaçan 10 Aralık 1957 tarihinde Kayseri’nin İncesu ilçesinde dünyaya geldi. 60 yaşındaki oyuncu, Ağır Roman yazarı Metin Kaçan’ın kardeşidir. 15 yıl boyunca ünlü mizah dergisi “Gırgır”da çizerlik yapmış, çizdiği karikatürleri Eşşek Herif ve Cork çok sevilmiş. Ekmek Teknesi dizisinde senaryosunu kendi yazdığı Heredot Cevdet milletin hafızasındaki yerini hala korumaktadır. AROG filminde de rol alan Hasan Kaçan’ın iki çocuğu bulunmaktadır.
